Meet our senior management team – business leaders whose expert knowledge helps clients transform their vision from potential to actual. Our team has a deep command of their respective disciplines and a culture of collaboration and teamwork that pools that expertise in the interests of our clients.
Seamus qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) in 1977 and within months established Séamus Buckley & Co, later to become Buckley Kiely & Co and ultimately BKK.
From the outset his long-term objective has been to provide ambitious, owner-managed firms – both indigenous and multinational – with the range and quality of service of ‘Big Four’ firms at an affordable cost. He believes very strongly in partnering closely with clients to contribute significantly to their success. He has been deeply involved in the creation and evolution of a number of high-profile businesses from start-up, through growth and development, in some cases to exit and in other situations through a succession process to the next family generation. As a reflection of this, he holds a number of positions as non-executive director with client businesses.
His long-standing involvement in leisure time golf is infinitely more frustrating and mostly less rewarding.
John became partner in 1990 having joined Séamus Buckley & Co. after qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1988. He takes a very hands-on approach in the practice with the priority of ensuring that all clients receive the best possible service, and the goal of helping their businesses succeed in an increasingly competitive, dynamic and changing world.
He has phenomenal powers of retention, which coupled with his superb technical knowledge ensures he is seen as a source of valuable advice for clients and colleagues alike.
John enjoys the outdoor life, hiking at home and in the Austrian Alps, pottering around in the garden, and photography.
A chartered accountant with over 15 years’ experience, since training with PwC Fiachra has held a number of senior financial roles in industry including as the CFO of both an airline and a multinational, global supply chain company.
Since 2013 he has been providing financial and commercial accountancy solutions to Irish and UK businesses with a focus on assisting and supporting entrepreneurs and CEOs in scaling their business and supporting their finance functions. He has worked on equity and debt fund raising, asset disposals and both vender and acquirer due diligence projects.
Growing up in Meath and supporting Liverpool have made the recent years a challenge from a sporting point of view but it’s the hope that keeps him going!
John, who qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), has more than 30 years’ experience in assisting businesses through their life cycle milestones in a very hands-on way: from growth, funding and acquisition to family successions and sales exits.
During his time in practice he has also led projects including the completion of systems and structures reviews for a range of firms, assisted clients in the development of their reporting systems and headed up a number of Independent Business Reviews (IBRs) for banks and business owners alike. He is on the Evaluation Committee of the South Cork Local Enterprise Office.
A history buff (particularly of the WW2 era), John is also a passionate supporter of League of Ireland soccer and his local side, Cork City FC.
Fearghal, who joined Buckley Kiely in 1998 and became partner in 2015, has over 24 years’ experience in practice. He specialises in business support, assisting companies with all aspects of their operational and financial needs across many industries.
Working closely with new clients Fearghal ensures a smooth onboarding process and ensures both new and existing clients receive excellent customer service.
Fearghal is a car enthusiast, enjoys watching sports - especially rugby and hurling - and playing golf, but only if the weather is fine!

BKK was an invaluable partner to us at every stage of the development of Trustev, and went the extra mile to assist us in the start-up phase. The team is made up of real experts in their fields, which gave us great confidence and comfort that our affairs were well looked after. I recommend BKK to every IT start-up I know!
Having recently worked with BKK on a key project I can confirm they brought expert advice, strategic thinking, paid great attention to detail, went beyond the call of duty and shared their wider network to ensure success of the project. The people are a pleasure to work with as they are very client-focused.
The partnership with Seamus (Buckley) began back in 1996 when I initially formed PCH International. In the early years BKK fulfilled the role of managing the setup and administration of the company, enabling me to focus on business development. We continue to maintain close involvement with BKK and use their extensive experience and expertise. Their advice is invaluable as it is based on years of co-operation, integrity and success.
BKK has been of tremendous support to us – I couldn’t imagine doing it without them!
We have been using BKK outsourced payroll, bookkeeping and management accounts services since we opened in Ireland in 1997. The longevity of the relationship is testament to their quality of service and the relationship we have built with them.
BKK were an essential part of helping us to build our expansion strategy since 2013, and also raising funds to implement that strategy. I will continue to work with them for Fairy Door or any other business I am involved in. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Through boom and bust, BKK has continued to help keep us profitable and they are a great source of positive encouragement. Nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend BKK without hesitation to anyone in business or thinking of starting a business – they are professional, knowledgeable, experienced and will go the extra mile.
BKK supported me through a company buy-out. I was reassured all throughout the process that the team had the relevant knowledge in order for the deal to be completed in the most efficient way. I would certainly recommend BKK to anyone looking for strong financial support within their company/organisation.
